Principal’s message

Cranbourne Primary School will start 2012 with a fresh look. The main building upgrade is now completed and the Learning Communities have been established in both buildings. Our Prep students will continue to work closely with our grade 5 and grade 6 students, Whilst our grade 1 and grade 2 students will be sharing a Learning Space, as will the grade 3 and grade 4 students. The old portables have been removed which has opened the space between the basketball courts and the oval. This has made a lovely space for students to use during recess and lunch times. The basketball back boards have had a fresh coat of paint, thanks to one of our generous families and the goal posts are being re-instated at the school end of the oval. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of our PTA, we have had workers pick up from where the grade 6 students left off at the end of 2011, to complete the mini golf area. Students will have the opportunity to use this area during recess and lunch times. Our new Library and Art room are bright, colorful and modern, providing spaces for our students to be inspired and creative. We have put a lot of time and money into the upgrading of our technology equipment over the Christmas break, which will increase the capabilities, access, speed and opportunities for our students to be technologically advanced.
