Cranbourne Primary School introduces Auslan (Australian Sign Language) as our Languages Other Than English (LOTE) subject.

Auslan is taught to students from Year 3 to Year 6 for one hour each week. We are proud to offer a program that promotes respect, inclusion, and strong community connections, while complementing our Cultural Studies program in Foundation to Year 2.

The program is delivered through high-quality instructional videos from Auslan Education Services, created and presented by deaf and hard of hearing people. These videos provide explicit teaching, which is reinforced by our Auslan teacher through engaging, hands-on activities that support practice and consolidation of learning.
